I've learned to embrace my slacker ways. I mean, I'm not living in complete filth. I vacuum once in a while and the dishes eventually get washed and put away. The Board of Health won't be paying me any visits and you won't see me on an episode of 'Hoarders.' Every day life can be chock full: get up, make lunch, feed the dogs, walk the dogs, catch up on the news, do a load of laundry, shower and get ready for work, drive to work, WORK, pick up something to make for dinner, drive home, walk the dogs, make dinner, feed the dogs, eat dinner, minimally clean up after dinner... Before you know it, it's 9:00 at night and your options are: clean, or fall asleep on the couch watching 'Big Bang Theory?' You guessed it, 'Big Bang Theory' wins every time. The point I'm trying to make is that your house should be a reflection of yourself. I'm not a natural born clean freak. I'm a natural born nature freak, a quasi artist, disorganized and for as long as I can remember, I fly by the seat of my pants. My home reflects that and I no longer apologize for it. I love it, and I love my home.
Here are a few more home-related quotes that I found on the 'Country Living Magazine' Pinterest page that I can relate to and maybe you can, too.
